Unmatched wins Amplify Portland grant

We are thrilled to share that Unmatched: The Team That Changed the Beautiful Game has been awarded one of three $10,000 Amplify Portland: Local Filmmakers Production grants.

In partnership with Travel Portland, the Portland Events and Film Office at Prosper Portland offers the grants to amplify previously unheard stories of Portlanders, aiming to create opportunity for filmmakers utilizing local talent, crew and vendors during production. Its focus is on the professional development of the local industry and bringing exposure to Portland via its presence on screen.

Unmatched: The Team That Changed the Beautiful Game is an upcoming feature documentary about the 2005 University of Portland women’s soccer team and its lasting legacy and impact. It’s about greatness on the field, changemakers off the field, and a city that supports women’s soccer unlike anywhere else in the world.

Grant funds are intended for Portland-based independent film productions to support and offset the cost of the production process. The funding is designed to support the production phase of local films including features, shorts, animations, documentary and narratives.
